New York Gastroenterology Associates (NYGA) is proud to actively participate in clinical research trials and studies. We partner with pharmaceutical companies and other research organizations to evaluate new medical treatments or gather data on certain patients. Our research relies on the voluntary participation of eligible patients who meet specific criteria for enrollment.

Current Trials and Studies
Condition: Inflammatory Bowel Disease
Type of Trial: Registry
Select Eligibility Criteria- Diagnosed with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis
- At least 18 years of age or older
- Has started (in the last 12 months) or will start new treatment for IBD. Treatment includes biologics, small molecule medication.

Condition: Crohn’s Disease
Type of Trial: Subcutaneous Injection
Select Eligibility Criteria- Biopsy-confirmed diagnosis of CD for at least 3 months
- Demonstrated intolerance, loss of response or inadequate response to conventional or advance therapies (biologics)
- No current diagnosis of ulcerative colitis or indeterminate colitis
- No prior exposure to p19 inhibitors (Skyrizi/Rizankizumab)
- No ostomy or ileoanal pouch

Condition: Ulcerative Colitis
Type of Trial: IV and Subcutaneous Injection
Select Eligibility Criteria- Age 18 years or older
- Moderate to severe ulcerative colitis diagnosis of at least 3 months
- Previous exposure to biologics and/or corticosteroid dependence
- No diagnosis of Crohn’s Disease, indeterminate colitis, fulminant colitis, toxic megacolon
- No current colostomy, ileostomy, or had total proctocolectomy or partial colectomy
